So I've been on an app spree and decided to pull the trigger to see if US Bank would be willing to do anything for us (we've been customers for about 30 years).
Got approved for the Cash+ card with 20k credit limit (which I obviously accepted lol).
However, the website does state this afterwards:
Look for your new card to arrive by U.S. Mail in the next 7–10 days. (Note that your application may be subject to further review. If there is a change in the status of your application, we'll notify you by U.S. Mail in 7–10 days.) For your security, you might also receive an alert that you submitted an application.
Anyone have thoughts of what "further review" might be? Verification of income maybe? Would hate to get too excited and then have it yanked back lol.
The bank is conservative and all apps are reviewed by human eyes. If you truthfully apped for it you have nothing to worry about. I have not heard of them asking for income verification, security verification comes up some times. Grats on your approval ![]()

Thanks. Definitely truthful on the app (and they can see checking/savings deposits easily enough lol).
We already have a $5500 line of credit with them (overdraft protection) and have never missed a payment in like 15 years so I'm sure internally we show as "good" customers. Have previously had credit with them in the past (10+ years ago), but they're not overly consumer friendly, at least we've never thought so.

I noticed this verbiage as well - does this mean they allow you to go over your revolve limit within the month but as long as you're below your limit at the statement cycle you're OK?
* The U.S. Bank Cash+ Visa Signature® Card offers No Pre-set Spending Limit. The revolve limit represents the balance that can be carried on your card within each cycle month, however, does not represent the total purchase power available to you on your card
That's terrific! Congratulations on your approval!! 🎉🥂
