I don't know if they still have the ones that light up. Or if that was just a joke to begin with. Don't care

It is. Or the paperwork that came with it says it lights up. I haven't tried it yet.

I've said that too, lol. Congratulations 🎊

I was planning to get a 2nd Discover around this time, but the bonus categories don't do anything for me this quarter. . . . But I had an itchy trigger finger and found myself hunting for something to apply for. I gotta get somethin'!
I applied for the US Bank Shopper Cash Rewards on Saturday morning and finally found out today that I've been approved with a $7k SL.
I don't know if they still have the ones that light up. Or if that was just a joke to begin with. Don't care
6% back at two merchants I select from a list, up to $1500 spend per quarter. Also 3% back at something I don't need because I already get 3 or more % back on that stuff with other cards. 1.5% on everthing else. The 1.5 is kinda cool because when I use a card thinking it's going to code one way and it ends up being something else (I know y'all never do that) at least I get 1.5% instead of the 1% from most cards.
$6000 spend at 6% = $360
$360 - $95 annual fee = $265
$265 back on $6000 spend = 4.42%
This is probably going to be my Walmart card for 6% back there and the other merchant will be whoever I predict I'll spend money with that quarter, like Best Buy or Home Depot. I'm not sure I'll get enough out of this to justify the $95 annual fee, but there's no fee for the first year. I may decide to PC to something else around the time the fee kicks in. Or maybe not. I have a year to figure it out. $250 SUB for spending $2000 in the first 120 days. I don't have anything telling me my APR yet. I don't think there's a 0% interest period on this. I thought there was when I applied but I looked back later and didn't see it.
I was 0/6, 3/12 new accounts. (I thought 3/12 might be pushing my luck with USB.)
They pulled Equifax and I think they look at FICO 8. My Eq8 is 783.
I was 0/6, 2/12 inquiries on Eq.
I'm in Texas and they pulled Eq for my Cash+ back in March, but TU for a CLI on that Cash+ in September. Now Eq again for this app.
My only prior relationship with USB is the Cash+ I got in March.
Tip of the day: If you have any doubt about being approved, don't app US Bank on the weekend. A lot of their apps seem to go to review, not all, but many. There is no one there to look at them on the weekend. I applied Saturday morning and was stressed out for two days waiting to find out
WooHoo!! Congratulations on your USB Approval!!👏🏼🍾🥂
