I have actually had quite a few CLIs recently, but I've taken to posting only the weird/unexpected ones.
Target upgraded me to the mastercard a couple months ago (June maybe) and just upped the limit to $4k (was at $3k).
I'm not spending that much on it, and it's usually paid in full every month. Maybe it's a Christmas thing.
Target has been doing this more frequently it seems. My CL was stuck at $300 for years and within the last 2 years i've gotten steady increases. Now i'm up to $2300 CL. Having higher (increasing) income also seems to help.
Congrats! I started at a $300 limit November of 2016 and am up to $1,900 now. I have noticed if you carry a balance they tend to give you more increases from my own experience. Just waiting for that MC upgrade
Something must be going on at Target. My fiancee has had her Target card since 09 and hasn't recieved an CLI even with a request since she's had the card. They, out the blue, gave her a CLI from $400 to a $1000.
Congrats! Opened mine is 2002 with a $1200 starting line. When it got converted to a Visa around 2005, they gave me a CLD to $800 and it stayed there until June 2016! Got $500 then, and $1000 increases in December 2016, June 2017 and December 2017. Now at $4300.
The combination of using it regularly, letting the balance actually post to the statement, paying in full every month, and updating annual income (even if there have been no changes) every month seems to do the trick.
Congratulations!
