The story kind of reminds me of the dealings i had with comenity over the last year. i was approved for 2 cards when i started rebuilding, ikea/comenity and big lots comenity.
after 6 mos i asked for a cli on the big lots, i used it often and pif, they said no soup for you and mailed me a laundry list of reasons. then i applied for the comenity mastercard and the same thing happened so i paid to zero the big lots and ikea and to the sock drawer they went.
low and behold 6 months later comenity offers me the comenity mc.

Just a quick FYI, and perhaps it may not matter in your case, but MUFG/Union Bank CCs are going to transition to US Bank during the first half of this year. Details yet TBD.
😳 This is great news! If US Bank won't let me in I will just keep getting cards with companies that sell to US Bank! Someone at USB is going to be reading a customer list one day and freeze in their tracks when they run across my name. I predict an Ibuprofen and whiskey shortage later that day.
