Congrats CreditMeow!! Nice job!

Chase definitely knows how to take care of their customers.
I, too, burned Chase back in summer 2010. Charged off Jan 2011. It was a slate card wtih a $5000 limit. Only burned them for $757
May open an acount with them again eary 2020.

Hey! I'm on a credit building journey (fixing mistakes in my early 20s) and I'm stoked that I just got approved for Chase FU! My scores EX 631 TU 612 EQ 613
I've been banking with Chase since 2017 and for the past few months have noticed pre-approved offers for FU, Freedom, Slate and SP in the mobile app. I randomly decided to app yesterday for FU despite knowing my scores are horrible and got hit with the "We need more time, we will let you know" message. But today noticed the new FU card added to my accounts on my banking app! SL $3100!!
I actually burned Chase once back in 2009 with my first credit card ever, a Slate with a $300 limit. I don't even think I ever paid that thing on time and it was closed within months and eventually charged off. Buuut that card still shows up in my online list of accounts for Chase so I know it's not been forgotten about.
Other factors: idk if they care about personal banking history, but I've been with Chase since mid 2017. My income last year was 50k and is approaching $100k this year which I'm sure is reflected in how much money is deposited regularly into my account. I currently have about 10k in checking and savings accounts.
My other info:
Discover (graduated secured) $2000
Capital One (graduated secured) $700
Capital One QS1 $2000
4 open collections totaling $430 and lates on my student loans during 2014 (current student loan balance $24k)
I'm stoked anyway! I know the limit isn't amazing but it's my highest one and I feel like I got my first real big kid credit card. I'm probably not going to bother applying for anything else until some of the collections fall off my report but I'm happy to see where these ones go!
Congratulations on the approval. I must say that I am surprised that Chase approved a CC with a prior negative banking relationship and 4 open collections. So, I recommend staying under the radar and not do anything that would draw attention to your credit profile.
