I have been reading many of the topics on here, and purposed to follow as closely as I can the HOW TO: From BK7 discharge to 700 in 24 months or less! I went ahead and got the CreditOne card last month and was approved for $300. Realized I was kind of behind schedule since my BK was discharged last Nov. Checked my EX credit score and decided to apply for Capital One, Platinum not Quicksilver because I didn't want the annual fee. Was floored when they approved me for $3000! Is this totally crazy? I have the activated card in hand or I would still be thinking I'd misread $300 as $3000, but it's true. Now I wish I'd skipped the CreditOne, but I'll use it to garden and then cancel it before the annual fee gets charged again.
Does anyone else have an experience getting approved for way more than you expected?
I did the same thing last year. Got an offer for Credit One in the mail...no one else that I tried would approve me so I took the offer....Then a month later the fees already had me upset and I applied to for two Cap One back to back my SL wasn't as high as yours but with usage and credit steps CLI got me there...Now I hate Credit One lol for duping me into thinking my credit was just so bad.
If your can't make the annual fee back in one year of spending no point to have a credit card. That's spending only 300 a month. With phone bill power bill and all those other bills gotta spend more then 300/month

Congrats, guess most either get 500 or 3k, did they offer credit steps, should get an email?
If you mean making up the annual fee with cash back, it doesn't work for me. In trying to build my credit, I will not be charging more than 10% of my credit limit per month. Plus, I will never pay an annual fee for a card with as high of interest rate as CreditOne. Ever.
