Path to Apple Card is a program that you can be enrolled into which will help improve your credit in order to be approved at a later date. For example, before I tried the "Shopping Cart Trick" they enrolled me into the program which required me to make on-time payments for 4 months, and to reduce my debt to an amount below $649 a month. They told me once I completed the program, I would be invited to apply again. They did say as well that there are different criteria for acceptance if you Apply from your invitation.

I was approved for my first CLI before 90 days of having the card. (I knew my score had improved quite a bit since getting the card, and I learned that Apple/GS updates their internal customer scores once per quarter, so I asked as soon as I thought they would have an updated score on file for me.)

That does happen occasionally, but generally with them is usually 90 days,but there are always exceptions.
