I just closed on a HELOC today and was wondering if it was a good time to get another card before it posts to CRAs.
I'm thinking about getting my 2nd NFCU card but I just got a CLI on my Platinum card in June of this year. Not due for a cli again until late December.
Will I be denied a new card because I received a CLI within the last 6 months?
If I get a new NFCU now will that reset my CLI clock on the Platinum?
Should I get some other card now and just wait to get the new NFCU card and Platinum CLI on one pull?

While we don't know all the details of your profile other than what's in your signature, suffice to say...a denial will not specifically be related to a recent CLI. However, if your profile does not warrant a new card or additional credit from NFCU, then you would be denied. The fact that you just got a CLI is not a 100% mitigator to a new card. Often times, people have success with applying for a 2nd card and then asking for a CLI on their first card. You'll be doing it in a different order...but again, the fact that you got a CLI will not be a "no" unless your profile wouldn't warrant more credit extended to you.

No, the clock for CLI's are not connected between cards, they are dependent on their own calendar individually.
Should I get some other card now and just wait to get the new NFCU card and Platinum CLI on one pull?
NFCU will not give you a new account without a HP and the CLI will be SP. You cannot utilize 1 pull for both so applying for another card is up to you.
Good Luck!

That all does help.
I believe my profile would easily warrant it. The NFCU prequal page shows all 6 credit cards as being prequalified:

Great News! You’re Prequalified
You’re prequalified for any of these Navy Federal credit cards. After reviewing each card’s benefits and features, apply for the card that’s right for you.*Note: There are several posts about people using the PreQual Tool, getting the same result as you though getting declined so it's not the best metric to go by when considering a NFCU Card. There have been LOTS of mixed results with that tool...just FYII'm thinking about app'ing for the Navy Federal More Rewards American Express® CardMy Platinum is at 13.5K now and is one of my lower CL. I believe that was due to the 4K CLI limit...I really hope that they go with a decent SL like some of my other cards... $25K would be nice.Would this card disrupt my Amex CLI counter or might I get a smaller amount because I already have a $35K BCP Amex card?* Note: This card from NFCU is issued by NFCU and not AMEX Bank...so the accounts/details are unrelated. The NFCU AMEX runs it's transactions through the AMEX network...meaning it works where AMEX is accepted...though any particulars with the account would be unrelated to your AMEX CLI with AMEX or your AMEX BCP.

Thanks for clarifying on the Amex
I called NFCU and the rep was ambiguous about it stating that it is an Amex card but through NFCU.
Trusting your clarification over theirs alleviated my fears on that part.
As for the mixed results on the prequal...
I'm happy to report that I got a good SL although not the best APR for this card:
