Venture Approval

Okay I couldn't resist any longer and took the plunge. Approved for a Venture for 5K SL and of course the highest rate but I really wanted to get my foot in the door again with Cap1 and didn't want a starter card that wouldn't grow past a certain point down the road. Figured shoot for the moon for a prime card with them. I'm totally amazed that they approved this. Have not had any type of revolving credit in a long time until June of this year and anything I've added has only been reporting since then. My Fico 04 score are much much higher than my 08's so that's the only reason I took the chance. Current scores EQ Score 8 641 Score 5 691, EX Score 8 641 Score 2 702 and TU Score 8 601 Score 4 664 (lower due to a med CO that should not be there and I'm fighting). 50.3K in total revolving with UTL of 3%. 14 inquiries on EQ, 3 on EX and 0 on TU. A CO with FMC from 2009 with a 60 and 90 day late that still show and a judgement from 2009 set to come off in 4/2016 with of all lenders Cap1. Since I was taking the triple pull I apped the QS as well right after but that was denied. I'm okay with that though. I'm just happy that somehow the stars aligned and I got the Venture approval. I'll push some spend through this and grow it and maybe next year go for another and should see a better rate and probably larger SL and then I'll combine. Will probably get a QS at that point as well.

Re: Venture Approval

Great job.... Thought about apping for Venture but just dont need an airline card or probably any card for that matter.
Have fun with it. Put some spend thru it,pay it off and you'll be at 10000 before you know it.

I could be wrong but I thought someone posted that you could cash out the bonus or rewards at 1 to 1 for gift cards and not have the devaluation of cashing out for cash if not redeeming for travel. Am I imagining that or did someone post that in the past day or two. Oh I forgot to add in my OP that I did not have Venture or QS showing on the pre qualifier. Just the QS1 and Platinum. Just got a wild hair up my you know what to give it a go. Nothing ventured nothing gained right.

Congrats. For the clever it is easy to cash out. Smiley Wink Also venture is not airline card. It is a travel card. Rental Cars. Airlines, Hotels. Taxis. Buses, Trains, All of that. so not hard to cash out for full value. anything transportation related. Hell even a ricksha
