Verizon Visa Approved (But small starting line of credit)

So I needed a new phone and I was wanting to switch service to Verizon so I went in the the store and gave the lady my info and she said Verizon said I could spend up to $2,500 on a new phone. I found the phone I wanted (free phone with promo they are running now). So we did the deal and we get the phone set up with the app and everything and then she tells me about the discount if I apply and get approved for the Verizon Visa, so I said ok even though I knew it's through Synchrony and I told myself just 2 Synchrony cards ( Lowes $5,000 & Sam's Mastercard $3,000) just 2! But for the discount on the phone bill every month I said ok so like a dummy I went for it and I was approved but for a disapponiting starting line of $1,000. *sigh*  AND I took a 20 point hit (per Equifax & Credit karma). I feel like I took a huge L in the rebuilding game today, even though I did get approved. Im hoping for the best and hoping this card will grow so it will take some of the sting away. I just thought I would share another chapter of my rebuild.

Synchrony Vantage score 4.0 -  697

Equifax Vantage score 3.0 - 681

Ollo FICO Bankcard Score 9 - 657

Income $110,000

The bolded part was hilarious!Smiley Very Happy

So now, it's 3 SYNCB CCs!  Congrats on the approval btw. It's certainly better than not getting approved so it's all good. Most of these newer SYNCB V/MC accounts are typically eligible around ~6 months for a CLI. Some have had success around the 4/5-month mark, but it's profile-specific. In the end, you can qualify for the monthly Verizon CC discount when you set things up.
