Victorias secret card

Does anyone know if I can ever get another Victoria's Secret card if I did a charge off/settlement with them in 2011? My husband and I both were out of work and had no choice but to make credit card settlements. My FICO scores right now are EX 627 EQ 629 TU 617. I am rebuilding my credit and right now the only credit card I have is a First Premier card with a $300 limit ( I didn't have to make a deposit) and I just got approved for a capital one secured MC with a $49 deposit. Thanks!

Log onto there website and sign up and put in your address and see if you get a pop-up pre-approval and that might be your golden ticket answer or not.  Put something in your cart, goto checkout and as long as your address is there something might pop up when it comes to the payment screen.  If so, it is a SP against your credit is all.

Edit: few typos

Re: Victorias secret card

Thank you for responding! I have tried the shopping cart trick with all Comenity Bank sites and it didn't work Smiley Sad I put in my husbands info for VS and an offer for a $350 limit came right up. I'm assuming its because he never had a card with them and the settlement/charge off is in my name only. I am new to all this so excuse my stupidity, but would it be dumb to just try anyway? Or does not getting a pop up mean they basically have my name in the "do not ever give card again" pile? I was hoping to get away with just a SP, I don't want to set my scores back with a HP, but I also heard VS is one of the easiest cards to get. Right now with my First Premier card I make a purchase and come home and pay the balance down to like $10 hoping to up my score more. I just want to get rid of them soon since the fee's are so crazy. Thank you!

Re: Victorias secret card

I personally wouln't waste a HP on a store card...  I will let others comment on whether commedity bank black lists people, but they might.  Just have you husband accept it if he is rebuilding as well if you want the card and his AAOA can handle the hit.

Re: Victorias secret card

Also you might want to look into getting a secured card with SDFCU as they report to all three bureaus during your rebuilding efforts and dump the First Premier card.  It is a SP for the secured card throuh them.

Also did you try the prequal site on caprital ones web site?  If not, you might want to try that as well for an unsecured line of credit, but wouldn't advise using there secured products.

Like your rebuilding effort. However I would possibly avoid store cards. Try with some credit unions or smaller banks.
