I mentioned I'm ready to start an app spree. I'm 2.5 years post BK7, I have a QS Visa $750 (upgraded from Journey), a QS1 MC $1,500, a few Comenity cards, Target $500, and Blaze MC.
I was approved for the MC with a $300 starting limit. My utilization is low, no new accounts or inquiries within the past 13 months.
My income is $60,000 a year with $650 monthly rent.
Maybe Capital One is cutting back on giving out large limits. I thought I'd be approved for more but 633 is still low. I wonder if Walmart cards will be bucketed? I don't think I'm in a credit builder program with an increase in a few months.
Also, this is interesting to me. Of the $300 limit, $105 can be used for Quick Cash in the store or cash advances.
I followed the prompts to set my account up and added it to my existing CapOne user name and password. When I clicked view my card, it shows a MasterCard.
Congratulations on your approval! 👍
Congratulations!
Congratulations!
Congrats on your approval. To my knowledge, the walmart MC and other co-brand cards arent in any credit steps so after 3 months of using the card, you can try requesting a CLI, though I would suggest holding off for about 6 months to give your score a chance to grow (since your AAoA will take a hit which would bring your score down a tad).
Congrats!
Congrats. Awesome that you got the MC and not just the store version. Looks like your hard work in rebuilding is paying off big time.
Congrats !
Thank you all! I added the card number into Walmart Pay and it works. I made a purchase tonight. However, I'm getting an error message when I try to load it into Apple Pay.
I wonder if CapOne blocked the Walmart MC from ApplePay once Walmart stores are against ApplePay?
