Long time lurker and reader, but just wanted to update on recent approval- I filed bankruptcy which was finalized in Aug 2019. I have been reading and reading about the Walmart card and wanting to apply but hated the possibility of knowing I would get a triple pull for a denial; however, I was extremely interested in the benefits of the 5% rewards. I just wanted update and maybe give hope to anyone that may be interested in applying and Maybe... some data points- but I got approved for the MasterCard with a starting limit of $500!!!! I currently have a capital one card with a limit of $300 and Victoria secret with a limit of $150. I have just a couple of inquiries, and I am in the lower 600’s across the board. Love reading updates from the group, and reading the successes that some have! Very much looking forward to continuing to grow and getting back on track!

I just looked at all 3 of my reports and there's a Capital One inquiry on all of them.
And, congrats, OP! We're pretty much in the same boat. I wouldn't normally get a store card, but I shop there waaaay too much, so the 5% is a bonus. I also got a $500 CL.
As an FYI to anyone who's thinking of applying, I had to send a pic of my DL DURING the app process, so make sure that you have your phone and DL ready in case they ask for it.
Congrats on the approval! So great they gave you the mastercard and not the store card, should definetely offer more options for your road back from BK
