Walmart Mastercard

I am shopping for new tires for my truck and decided that Walmart would be the best place.  I was going to use one of my other cards but looks like this purchase would qualify for their 24 month no interest financing.  I will have it paid off well before that but I do like having the flexibility to make smaller payments if needed.  I applied this morning and was approved for $1,800.  Is this a card that I can request a CLI right away on?  I'm guessing my tire purchase with installation will be around $1,300 and would like to keep the utilization lower than what it would be with an $1,800 limit.  The Average limit on all my other accounts is $10,000.  If you can request a CLI right away how do I go about doing it?

Try town fair tire, will get you somewhere about $850.^_^

You can call Synchrony as they are great lender. tell them you need at least 15k. they will counter it. it will grow very fast as well. just use it. as you are doing. look up credit solutions in the application section for back door numbers. Call them. they will give you increase. you don't need to explain why you need it. just say, im calling for credit limit increase.

I called the number I found when I searched like you suggested.  Wish I would not have chickened out and would have asked for the $15,000 like you said, I only asked for $10,000 and was approved after being placed on hold for 2 minutes.

Call back and ask for $25K. If they mention the previous increase say that you are going to make a large purchase and you would like to keep the utilization as low as possible.

Go back and ask again. No limit to how many CLI you can request a day. My amazon from $800 to $3500 and my walmart from $150 to $3500 same day after 3 cli requests for each one. Since you got approved for what you wanted, most likely you left some money on the table. Don't be shy for asking hich CLI with synchrony. They will counter you if you dont get what you asked for. What they counter is the highest you can get at that moment. Now get on nthe phone and call them, and give us an update

Congratulations, 2014! Wal-mart is a great card to have and it comes with a useful, no-fee cash over option as well if you wanted cash back from a transaction. No fees involved.

Well don't worry about it. You did well today. After reading this thread I went and applied for the card too, got the same 1800 approval, called credit solutions for a CLI to 15k, and they turned me down flat... nada.
