Walmart Rewards - Capitol One Approval

New approval for Walmart Rewards Capitol One card.  A little disappointed with the $3,000 starting limit, especially since I previously had a Capitol One Quicksilver with a limit over $10,000 that I closed.  Oh well I guess Capitol One has a short memory.  Hopefully the limit will somewhat grow in the future.

I am trying to get away from Amazon Prime, this will be useful for my Walmart plus / Walmart.com purchases with 5% cash back, but that's about it.

Time for a serious gardening session until the end of the year.

Congrats on the approval! I use the heck out of this card for that 5% in store. I'm going to be very sad when that 12 month promo ends and it drops to just 2%.

Re: Walmart Rewards - Capitol One Approval

Sometimes it looks like that Walmart Card is a hot potato. Capital One has to deal with it now.

I had mine to $10K when it was Synchrony. With Capital One the SL was $3K and wouldn't budge. I closed it.

Congrats though on the approval!!

Re: Walmart Rewards - Capitol One Approval

Congratulations on your approval!

My wife experienced a similar experience as you with Capital One.  Years ago she had the Capital One Platinum with an annual fee. The limit was $5000.  After about 3 to 4 years of having the annual fee we asked them to waive the annual fee or to let us product change it and they wouldn't.  So she canceled the card.

About 3 months later they sent her marketing that they missed her and wanted her back as a customer.  Sent a pre approval for a no annual fee Capital One Platinum card. She applied and they gave her a $1000 limit just 3 months after her closing a $5000 limit card. We were shocked. Took her about 8 years to get a limit increase.  It was a disappointing experience. Her limit went from $1000 to $4000 where it still sits 3 years later.

Congratulations on your Walmart MC approval! From personal experience, this card grows with usage. My SL was also $3k back when this was my primary card and got heavy usage I was able to get a $500 CLI after just 3 months!

My Walmart MC migrated over from the previous issuer and Capital One will not budge on a CLI increase from that migration. My denial says that I have the maximum amount allowed on this card. I refuse to believe that 8K is the max given on that card.

Re: Walmart Rewards - Capitol One Approval

Congratulations on your walmart mc cap 1 3K approval. I have the Walmart mc card which came over from Synchrony bank with a 18K limit and I was able to get 1k increase from Capital one after 4 months with them so now the limit is 19K. Capital one will not give any more increases I used heck out of card the first year to get the 5 % cash back, only time I use the walmart  mc is when I get cash back when I am at store. I whish they never moved card from Synchony bank over cap 1. again enjoy it.
