Want to apply for Amex BCE

I have a question and are in need of some advice. I would like to apply for American express blue cash card. I am just wondering i it woud be worth the hard pull n case of denial. My current fico scores are for TU-733 EXP-740 EQ-738. My utilization is 30% with all of my cards i currently have VS-1,390 (currently) Kays Jewelry 7,500 Capital One Mastercard 2,250 Discover It 2,700Capital One quicksilver Visa2500 Macys 2700 Right now I do hold some balances on my cards but never have ever had a late payment. My income is 45,000 a year. My most recent card is the discover it which i was approved for in April. I have 1 inq on Tu Eq-1 and Exp.is reporting 2 Oh yes i also have an amazon store card for 1800 with no pending balance. Just curious to what my chances would be for the American express card.

Your scores are plenty high enough to get approved. Did you check the American Express pre qualified page? Even if you're not pre approved I'd say your odds are very high for approval as long as their no 'baddies' lurking in your files.

I have no baddies!! I checked the pre-qual and it said there were offers for the Amex Everyday Preferred and The Bkue cash everyday card and Blue cash preferred. I am very nervous i am alway afraid of getting a denial. I just want to be sure. I always thought the Amex was hard to get. It took meyears to pull my credit together and I did and have nothing bad on my account Everything is always paid on time!!

I understand your concern but with your scores and the preapprovals, you're golden. Pick which of the Blue Cash cards you want and apply. I give you 5 minutes and post back here with the approval :-). They're great cards and you'll be very happy with whichever one you choose.

as long as you have done your research and know the differences between the BC, BCP, ED, and EDP, then you should be just fine. Gotta spend 55/wk on groceries to break even with the annual fee of the BCP... That EDP can be really really sweet for MR points though, especially with 50 percent bonus after 30 transactions.

I was approved for 10k!!!!! I am in shock but soo happy right now! Omg thank you everyone for your great advice!! I was not sure i was going to get it. So great to have good credit!! Thanks again everyone!! I am soo happy right now!! my highest limit so far!!!

Once you recieve your card and activate it. You can go in your account and ask for limit increase. If you got 10K right off the bat. I wouldn't be surprised if they gave you 20K.

I was apprved for 4K. Activated the card and immeditely hit the luv button for 3x and was approved for 12K. Congrats!!

Great to hear and congrats on your approval, but it took longer then 5 minutes to post back the results. :-)

Just kidding. Well done and keep in mind the 3X CLI as time goes on. You can ask for it from any point forward after you activate the card. If you do I'd suggest asking for just under $25K when you do.
