I contacted Wells Fargo to request a CLI on my active cash. The first rep advised they only do hard pulls when submitting requests; and i knew this was wrong so i hung up and called back and got a much nicer rep who gave me the spill about how the soft pull CLI works and i answered his questions and got my increase.
I asked for a 6K increase and got a 2K increase instead making my new limit 10K...without a hard pull. Woo Woo! Ive had the card a little over 6 months now so still have several months of 0% interest. 
I have no relationship with Wells Fargo besides my Active Cash card. My EX score is 725 which is where it was 6 months ago. YAY!

Was your credit locked when you called?
