How deep is your credit history? How old is your oldest account? Do you have any derogatories? Those may play a role in the limits you've received but either way, use the card like you planned to since it fits into your spending and they'll increase that limit for you.

Congrats on your WF Propel card
Nice Job - Congrats!
Very nice. Auto CLIs do happen but are not common. I got this card August 2018 and was auto granted $500 June 2019 on my $9,500 limit with ~ 8% - 12% util. Rep will ask you for the increase amount. Request will be a SP, but they will ask if they need to go with a HP. Called in February this year and got the $6,000 I had requested (SP.) FWIW, I did have an auto loan (paid) and have a DD to a WF checking account.
PS, navigation in their app isn't the bestest.
@Anonymous wrote:Decided to apply for the Wells Fargo Propel as its categories greatly match up with my regular spend (especially gas and dining. To a lesser extent some travel as well). Got approved with a CL of $4000. It's my 4th card but also my lowest limit.
I'm definitely happy to be approved, but was hoping for a significantly higher CL than that as I'll put a lot of my general spend on this card. Anybody know how long I should wait to ask for a CLI or just wait for an auto?
I'm also not sure why my limits seem to be low based on my credit score and income. Could it be due to a large amount of student loans (over 70k)?

Chase Freedom CL $7000
Chase Amazon CL $9100
Discover It CL $6500
