Re: Wells Fargo Reflect Visa

Update and FYI...  Wells Fargo pulled a BofA on me that I didn't expect.

I had opened a Wells Fargo Platinum card some time ago, used it for the zero percent offer, and it's been sitting empty with no use for some time.

It HAD a $10k credit line.

As Wells Fargo approved my new $14k Reflect credit line, they lowered the limit on my Platinum card to $1k.  Smiley Indifferent

Certainly not a deal breaker, but I didn't expect it, so I'm sharing info with y'all.

I did the same thing last year when I got my Reflect only I initiated it.  I had a $5k Plat sock drawered... never used it because there were no rewards.  The initial 0% offer that came with the card was long gone.

I was approved for $2k Reflect... and I called and had them move $4k from the Plat over to the Reflect because the $6k Reflect limit was obviously more useful for the 0% offers vs leaving the limit high on a dormant card.

Gonna do the same thing next year (gotta wait 15 months to receive SUBs on new apps) when I apply for the Active Cash.  I have 14 months remaining on my Reflect offer so when it comes time to get the new card I'll call them and move the limit over from the Reflect.

I'm totally fine with a low limit on a card I don't use.
