Several weeks ago I had received a pre-approval offer via snail mail and was also presented with a similar offer by phone when chatting with a CSR (I didn't take the phone offer at the time since I was in the middle of a few things).
So, I pondered about it for a week and decided to take the mail-in/online offer. Lo' and behold, the application got stuck in limbo for a several weeks. Since I was traveling, I just figured a possible decline or the application getting lost in la-la-land. The UW called me a couple times and we played phone tag for two weeks (and then I forgot about it). Then, just recently (7/1), I received an email approval confirmation and was able to link my account online a couple days go. I was a bit surprised (yet pleased) on the SL (given WF is usually not too generous on initial SLs). Worse case scenario, I'll test drive it for a while and see if it's a keeper (benefits-wise), or I can roll it over to my other WF CC ![]()
Congarst on yet another big CL approval! What kinda apr did they give you? Use to bank with them along time back and had a a few auto loans with them, but like 15 years ago![]()

Thanks CreditCuriosity. I believe my APR was 12.15%. I'll have to double-check the card carrier since I just got the card yesterday.

LOL... Thanks Ron! Not quite... Since I just pruned a few accounts a couple weeks ago (plus I closed the Beaver CC), my current count is ~74.

Haha congrats! Wells Fargo is not available for online apps in my area but from what i hear they are pretty conservative and thats an amazing SL!
Thanks ddemari!
Really? What area/state is this ddemari? I assumed they were pretty open nationwide. That's interesting. I remember back in the day (early to mid-90s), unless you lived in any of their footprint states, they wouldn't even take an application. Now, of course, people either love or hate WF. Thus far, they have been pretty decent over the years so I can't complain.
Congratulations! Nice limit
