Yeah, back in the day (I mean 2012) before the vast loosening of the credit market CSP was a premium card and it's seemingly taken two steps in UW critera downward, first was on score, now is on history.

Also there's been a seeming tendency in the past year or two by both Chase and Amex that if they're your first (and they think you may be a good customer over time) they will start throwing products at you to keep you from straying and to be fair, for the vast majority of consumers that's probably an effective strategy since most people never get beyond their primary bank.  That may explain my own Chase relationship but I went into that one hoping for that and at least their computers have not disappointed.  Especially if you might have a deposit account with them... upsell upsell upsell!  Or something haha.

Anyway, congrats OP on the approval!  As pipeguy mentioned, if you have a mortgage in flight, sit on your hands as there will be splainin to do if they pull your credit again.

Thanks. I really don't plan on getting any more cards for a while now, at the absolute earliest would be in September. If I can just get the limits higher on my cards then that will be fine with me.
