X1 Approval

I got approved for this card a few months ago, but decided the whole bank thing was too intrusive for my taste and blew it off. FF to today: got an email saying, "You’re Approved. No Need to Connect Your Bank." For some reason unknown even to me, I went ahead and accepted. I got a pretty modest SL of $5K with a notation that it will increase. Whatever. So that's about it... I now have an X1 card. Will probably have a HP to look forward to, too. Sigh... I suppose it IS a cool looking card. 🤷

The very same thing happened to me, but I never took the offer and have been wondering about whether they'd do a hard pull or not. It would be great if you could update with that info if it happens @krit . Congratulations on your approval!

I am curious what the difference in SL would have been had you linked your bank instead. Anyone have a recent offer with a higher SL when linking their bank or did they too start with $5k? It seems to be the SL standard from what I've seen with those who haven't linked their account.

Yep, same here as well @krit @JoeRockhead 

I didn't take the offer but they persued me after I bagged the app during the connect to bank process.

I'd be curious to see how the HP/SP goes. I assume X1 is forgoing the bank review to HP as SOP.
