I applied for the CSP on 22Nov and did not get automatically approved. I got a little sad because I had hoped on using it for black Friday so that I can get those 50k bonus points. I called the automated number and they told me that I would hear from them in 2 weeks.
My husband and I combined make over 6 figures, haven't applied for a credit card since 2013, just got a mortgage in September, and bought a new car 2 weeks ago. I was wondering if it was the mortgage inquiry and the new car loan that maybe caused me to have to wait for an approval.
I got a voicemail from them last night, 29Nov, from Chase's fraud prevention service saying that I needed to call them back to verify some of my information. I had to verify my cellphone, address, and a few other questions from the application-- then the lady said I was approved with a starting limit of 16k! How awesome!
She said it would take 2-3 weeks for the card to come in the mail, but I asked if there was a way to expedite it and she said she was able to via UPS and that I'd get it within 2-3 days!
I'm excited! I've heard a lot of really good things about this card!

yes it is! my coworker influenced me to get it because of the bonus. i figured i apply since i'm at a point where i could afford a few hard pulls.
it seems like it has a great travel rewards system so i'm looking forward to using it towards a vacation next year!

That's a great approval! CSP I use for general spend as well as travel, it's a good card.
thank you! do you have any advice on how to use it towards travel? or any good deals/experiences you had with it?
looking forward to maximizing the rewards-- i heard not to redeem it for cash or amazon credit.

Travel partners and transferring points is your best value on the card... Also if you have under 5 new accounts in 24 months your might want to consider pairing it up with the Chase freedom card to maximize rewards.. If you have more than 5 new accounts in 24 months pass on that idea. Freedom is rotating card like discover but 5x UR points up to 1500 a quarter and then transfer them to CSP is the idea and then transfer them out to travel partner such as United or Marriott, etc...
Congrats!
