So....I know I just said that I was going in the garden. But I took a look at all my cards and the Citi Costco Anywhere Visa that I got in mid August with a ridiculous $1200 credit limit (less than one tenth of the usual limit I get approved for lol) was really annoying me. So I went online and closed the account. I then decided to open a different Citi card to replace it. I chose the Citi Simplicity card for the 12 months of 0 apr and its overall, well, simplicity
(It has 21 months of 0% balance transfers, but I am almost done paying down all my balances so I probably won't use that.)
I got approved for $14,600 at 14.74 percent. That's more like it Citi. Now I am officially in the garden I promise lol. ![]()
Data points: They pulled equifax. My equifax FICO is in the mid 760s right now.
I have 7 inquiries on my equifax report, 4 in the last year including this new pull.
My income is 190k (not counting bonuses or stock)
My utilization is about 9% right now with only $105 dollars on any Citi cards (my ATT fiber internet bill)
Anyway I am going into the garden happy and satisfied that Citi finally gave me a card I can use.
Grats on your Simplicity approval ![]()
Congrats! I literally just read u saying you were in the garden, clicked off that post and this post pops up with another approval 😂😂😂😂
Congratulations on your Citi Simplicity Card approval!
@Trini88 I WAS in the garden. For a day
I just couldn't get that Costco Anywhere Visa out of my head. The $1200 credit limit really annoyed me. I don't really use thankyou points so the Simplicity card is a good fit for anytime I want to buy something expensive this year at 0%
I am definitely in the garden now, I promise lol.
That's terrific!! Congratulations on your Citi Approval!! 🥂🎉👏🏻
Congratulations on your Citi Simplicity approval! Once your 0% APR period is over, you might be able to product change it to a $14,600 Costco Visa if it would benefit you in the long term. ![]()
@CreditAggie you totally read my mind lol. I plan on product changing this card in a year after the 0% promo is over. If Citi doesn't want to product change it at that time (unlikely. I am pretty sure they will let me change it to one of their other cards) I will use it for a balance transfer if I have any balances (0% balance transfer is for 21 months) and try again to product change after that lol.
Either way, I plan on keeping the card. I am pretty confident they will have other 0% promos on it at some point.
Congrats on your Citi Simplicity approval
