Haha after thinking about it I will genuinely try to garden for now. I can't really justify another 1.5% cb card (even though my pride is still hurt from BofA rejecting me last summer), and none of AMEX's offerings really make sense in my mind - much to the dismay of their 2-3x per week Delta invitation packages.

I am a little bit interested in UNFCU's Visa Elite and Andrews FCU's Visa Titanium Rewards both just for extra no-FTF channels but neither of them seems worth another application since I should be fine overseas between CSP, QS, and Discover.

Once US Bank lets me CLI/PC to a Cash+, really the only cards left that I want to add to the arsenal are Chase's normal Freedom, and Ink Plus (likely try to downgrade to Ink Cash before paying a 2nd AF) but I was 5 and 6 in 24 months with CSP and FU, so with these additional cards it's definitely going to be a bit of a wait. Awesome! Love Discover!

For me, Discover pulled Equifax for original approval, and then transunion for CLI. I'm in California.

Congrats again!

No clue who they pulled, but if the pulls database gives an idea, I think either EQ or TU (usually get near instant TU alerts about inquiries and nothing yet, so maybe I got lucky and it was EQ).

Time to debate about AMEX and BofA for a few minutes and possibly just bite the bullet again!

Congrats on the approval! Good luck if you make it to the garden.

FWIW I got approved for an AMEX today, shocked and never thought it would happen. I say bite the bullet on an AMEX Smiley Happy

haha thanks! I'm still not sure which one would make sense yet... was thinking BCP for 6% on groceries but I need to know I will be able to use it somehow before I grab one of theirs.

Just checked their pre-qualify from an incognito Chrome tab and now it's giving me Every Day, EDP, and BCE on there.

I got the BCE. Stoked to be in with AMEX Smiley Happy

Thanks! yeah it's going to basically just take gas spend away from Sallie Mae for now.

BCP is the Amex I am most looking at but it's only 1% more than SM, and has an annual fee so I'm not totally convinced it's a good idea right now. If Barclays kills or nerfs Sallie Mae I will definitely jump on BCP because those 2 are basically the best for groceries as far as I am aware.
