53 weeks post Ch. 7 discharge

they usually require 2 years post discharge but they approved me because I have been member for 3 years and I have rebuilt quite well.

this allowed me to close Academy Bank secured card open for 13 months that I don't think was going to graduate contrary to what their website suggests.

Congrats, goes to show what having an established CU relationship can do for you. Keep that relationship healthy and active and it'll open a lot of doors that will greatly help you continue your rebuild

It's absolutely true. My parents took me to open an account at our local CU when I was in ninth grade. I turned 46 a couple weeks back and still have that same account as my daily driver. It has paid off in spades many times over, and I'll never close it.

Congratulations! definitely agree with keeping a good relationship with your local Cu. I know my local Cu has never failed me when I asked for loans or Cc.
