Lol, that's a lot of plastic laying around....
^^^^ This
It also demonstrates that TCL has very little to do with spend.
My tcl is $132k. Spend is about $1k.
For me, Capone is the tightest. Over the same time period, Capone has gone from $2000 to $4800 with repeated CLI requests, while commerce Bank has gone from $1000 to $10,000, all auto clis.
I still use cash for some things. I still follow some advice I was given decades ago, always pay cash for guns, ammo and booze.
For two years now my TCL has been sitting at $99,100, and I could care less if it ever crosses $100,000. I typically see between $5,000 and $8,000 in charges per month, and I always PIF my cards before each statement date. The single largest month across the board is only $30,000, and I seriously doubt I'll ever charge that month in a single month again.
Chapter 13:
I categorically refuse to do AZEO!

limits in sig. amex and csr both get between 5-10k, paypal 10-15k, wells fargo any where from 30 to 80k a month. i do treat the wells and paypal cards like a business card though, a lot of that spend is on stuff that gets resold in one way or another.

Monthly spend Mmmmmmmm

Good Lord, I thought I was cool buying my wife a single poverty LV monogram bag for Christmas ![]()
Hi @Vash1 . My monthly (personal) spend is similar to your stated $3-5k/month, and my spend supports $400k TCL with no problem. No CLDs from anybody, but I always put a small charge on every card semi-annually. Amex tells me I have "insufficient spend" to get more CLIs (though I suspect it is really because I am already at their 60% max TCL based on stated income). You don't need to spend more money; just give yourself a year for SP CLIs to do their magic.
My single greatest spend is my Sams Club at $1k/mo for gas and groceries - and I don't know how @Jordan23ww got his $30k CL with them
- they tell me mine is already over their $20k max limit... but I want $30k too!!! ![]()
And dear Lord @dfwxjer and @Saleen099 , please don't let my wife find out how much she could be spending on a purse; she doesn't need any "new ideas" and we have Chanel and Louis Vuey stores here in the DC area ("poverty bag" notwithstanding)...

@Vash1 wrote:Really good data points thank you. Never thought about applying for a cli during spending for a SUB bonus. Will keep that in mind.
It's also worth noting that this strat only works for the more liberal issuers like Amex if the SUB period is 3-4 months and for more conservative issuers you'd likely need a 6 month SUB period. Some of them will not entertain a CLI under any circumstances until the 6 month mark. If your profile aligns with Capital One's target demographic, there is actually the possibility of getting a 2x CLI before a new card even arrives (but most people will have their biggest CLI struggles with Capital One and you're pretty much already out of their sweet spot).
Yeah I've been struggling getting a CLI with Captial One which still has the original starting limit when I first opened the card like 12 years ago. I've just started putting spend on it last month since it has the most room to grow, and get's me closer to the 100k goal hopefully.
Capital One is the stingiest. I wouldn't throw a bunch of spend on there trying to coerce them into high increases.
Thanks for that tip. I'm gonna slow down with them if I don't get an increase after this next cycle.

I like it. And wow cap 1 being that stingy (thanks for the data point) I am definitely not going to keep wasting spend on it after this month. I'd rather keep it on my valuable Chase cards
Appreciate the data points and advice. Also, are you sticking to the no AZEO?
