I have a Discover card but was fooling around with the pre approval tab on the discover card site. It appears I’m preapproved for a second Discover card, is that possible? Can you carry 2 separate Discover cards?

Are you talking about the same exact Discover it product, like getting a second Chrome, or do you mean getting a Chrome when you have, say, the Discover it Cash Back?

Yes, I have two. A Discover It and Discover It NHL. They are the same except one can have your favorite hockey team logo on it.

Yes, I got my 2nd discover it a few weeks ago about 13 months after the first via prequal.

My first card was Discover IT 3k sl.

My 2nd card was also Discover IT 6k sl

@drboxing Yes, I have two Discover cards . . . the 1st opened 01/2019 and the second opened 03/2022!!!

Not going to repeat all the right answers above. I had a Chrome and a iT. Combined them and thats how I ended up with my CL with Disco. I believe its still true. You have to wait a year before the 2nd card is approved.

Yes, you can. Once you have both cards, they will allow you to combine the limits and close the other one. PROVIDED, the donor must have a CLI eligibility. I would ensure both cards got CLI first, and then move the limits from one to the other. You must do it on the same day though or within 24 hours, by calling the CSR. Otherwise, the option to consolidate the limits is gone until the donor has another CLI eligibility again.
