Re: 2 inquiry are same - what to do.

Tonchitos, if you didn't want this to happen, why didn't you send the info back in a timely manner?

Nothing citi, or any other lender for that matter, can and will do. Those inquiries are legitimate and not fraudulent. Inquiries are there because you were seeking credit, regardless of approvals or denials. What you are trying to do is to have them remove inquiries simply because you are denied due to your own fault.

And to be honest, its really just a couple inquiries. Move on.

I know why you are all being mean to me, because I'm the unethical murderer for wanting to lie to a big bank and have an inquiry removed... but why is everyone being so nasty to Tonchitos? He simply asked a question and was seeking some help. You're all telling him to kick rocks and pound sand. Can't everyone be a little nicer? Or have a debate in a nicer tone?

- I will from now on refrain from suggesting 'unethical' practices on this form, however I do want to make it clear that I do not feel it is unethical. It is in my opinion a grey area. Whether or not it is unethical is certainly based upon one's priorities. Only people who walk on water would think that having an inquiry removed by lying to a huge bank is wrong, even if those banks are responsible for the massive housing bubble collapse and millions losing their home and their life savings. - Sorry , that's probably irrelevant too.

Lying to a bank is lying and cheating your way through life.. it's horrible.. Banks are so honest and trustworthy, and they're only there to be your friend and help you whenever you need it!

I said my two cents. I'm done!

Hey Mopar_Jones!

Though I agree with you regarding some of the misgivings of big banks and their business practices... it is never a good idea to give advice to lie.  Never.  Your entire argument is negated by this very advice.  I couldn't help but laugh at your highlighted statement.  The very word "lying" implies wrong doing and is "wrong".

Re: 2 inquiry are same - what to do.

Lying - can be defined as telling a lie, or witholding the truth. Attorneys do it, banks do it, politicians and government do it. Regardless, we're talking about an inquiry! Not lying about income, employment.. obtaining credit by fraudulent means.. lying on your taxes.. cheating on your spouse..  Are we all quior kids and boy scouts here? It's an inquiry! Has no one here used a credit repair agency simply because they use the same practice that I suggested? If you dispute, they have to verify. If they don't, it gets removed. It's the luck of the draw. Big flipping deal. Get a life for god sake.
