3 day late payment

Was in the hospital recently and couldnt make my nordstrom card payment until 3 days after the due date. Will this effect me in any way?

You will likely incur a late fee, but your 3 day late payment will not be reported to the bureaus and it will not affect your scores in anyway.

Call in, and they might remove the late fee. As mentioned, your report won't be affected. But the mistake will be noted internally and may do things like delay CLI (credit limit increase) eligibility.

If it's been only a few days past the due date, it shouldn't have any major consequences as far as being reported to the CRAs (provided the payment didn't go beyond 60 days).

Having said that, you may have incurred a late fee and their system may have coded this internally so it may impact potential CLIs.

My suggestion would be to contact them as soon as practical so that they are aware of your situation and they may likely waive the late fee (if any) as a courtesy.

Agree, call in. If it wasnt habitual, they may give a break. Ignoring it not so good. Hope you are better
