30-Day Late explanation

Hello,

I am in a pickle with my payments cuz of a job situation and switch. Cap One doesnt show my past due on my app so I called and basiaclly to give a break down..

Currently shows $298 due Nov 27

Lady told me my past due for Oct 27 is $127, and the rest is $171 Nov 27. I am basically trying to make the Oct payment so I dont go 30 day deliquient of course temporarily.

I assumed today was 29 days past due, but she expressed that I am only 21 days past due. She says my due date is the 27th but my cycle date is the 2nd of each month.

So do credit companies report based on that statement date? or your shown due date? just looking for any information possible because she didnt have one for me.

I wouldn't listen to a single thing CSR tells you, nothing they tell you is binding, partiuclarly one that doesn't seem to know how to count

If you call back in, do try to speak to American based support so they can confirm for you how much you need to pay in order to avoid going 30 days late

Appreciate the advice. I might give them a call later and get a second or third answer. See if it all matches up at the bare minimum. Id like to believe I know the past due balance because I am the one that canceled the payment. So I paid a little more than that for now and see if someone tells me a different thing when i call back.

Lates  are past the due date .. you can add to payments until  statement date ...that  is the CR date.. Yes ..consider what a rep says as useless...Good idea to pay  to keep it a  minimized to 30 day late.. 5-6 years ago when I had  issues.. I would pay the Cc then pay another bill/ utlity bill / from that Cc.. to conserve cash outflow  & prevent  accounts from falling late

Also try calling CapOne ask for a supervisor .. tell them in a  finanical bind .. can they offer any temporary help

Yeah im not in crazy debt or anything, so its been do-able thankfully. But yeah, I made a little more than the past due payment. Seems to have worked out. I called back three times and all three times they mentioned my past due amount is only the $127.
