Credit is NOT money. Please don't get the two confused.

this might be the most unintelligent post in this whole thread. credit isnt money lol you sound crazy

This line of thinking is exactly how so many people fall into financial ruin (credit card debt, bankruptcy). Again, credit is NOT money. If it was money you wouldn't have to pay the banks a fee for a cash advance. You also wouldn't have a cash advance limit on your credit cards. It is intangible exposure that can increase AND decrease at any time without your knowledge, unlike "money". Besides, do you think people with "real money" like millionaires and billionaires are concerned about their "high" credit lines? Give me a break. The only "money" you have is in your bank accounts, savings, CDs, retirements, investments, property, etc.

By the way, try to retain an attorney or post bail in your hypothetical "murder charge" scenario and see how far your 'money', i.e. credit will get you.

1 - cash advances don't always have lower limits or fees (like CU cards)

2 - bail bondsmen take credit cards

3 - checks can be written against lines of credit (or cash advances can be deposited into checking accounts and checks written against that)

But this is a moot point. Bond is usually not set for murder 1 due to flight risk. And in the rare cases that it's allowed, set in the hundreds of thousands or millions range. So it's a problem only high net worth individuals have the luxury to even worry about. And if you have a million dollar credit line, you probably have "money" too.

Re: $36,000 limit with Chase!!

Im so confused by this entertaining thread. OP....didint you say your name is Derek? But someone said "she" in another part of the thread.

OP....the reason your getting people calling your psot BS is not because having 36K limits at chase is a big deal, its the way you pressented yourself from the first post...like your so "cool" cause you have 36K limits and you "tricked" Chase into giving you limits by applying  8 Chase cards.

That does not sound like a realistic scenario to anyone with common sense. Not likely, Chase would approve 8 accounts in such a short time.

Anyways most of us arent here to brag about our credit lines, were her eto help each other achive our credit/financial goals.

You just sound like a "**bleep**" in your posts. Sorry but that just the truth.

Re: $36,000 limit with Chase!!

My name is Derek [mod cut] n. And my story is very true. You can believe what you want to believe, but if you don't want to advance your limits with Chase, by all means keep doing what you're all doing. If you want your limits to increase, the answer is NOT to apply for CLI, it's to app for multiple accounts. They only approve 2 in 30 days. Then you have to recon when you get denied.

OP,

full names are not allowed on myFICO.

Please take your BS and bring it somewhere else, not here on MyFICO. The fact you reveal your name, income and workplace on such a public forum says a lot about your intelligence.. And yea, people are sceptical of your claims in the opening thread because of the way you expressed it.Sorry man, just my two cents.
