About the travelling to Europe, don't bring cash. Bring a no-FTF EMV card with you and/or a debit card with no international atm fees (schwab).

is bofa the only major bank that offers this service? does discover, citi, amex, chase, or barclay also have a card like that? you cant do that with the saphire? im goin on an app spree next month and it would be good to know what my options are. if bofa is the only card that offers that im all over it
Barclaycard Arrival has a no AF version which has 2x rewards on travel and dining, no foreign transaction fees, and no annual fees.
Cap One Quicksilver has 1.5% cashback, no foreign transaction fees, no annual fees.
Discover has the no FTC option, but it is not accepted worldwide.
Big thread on this at http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/credit-card-programs/1250450-usa-cards-no-foreign-transaction-fees.html
has cards with no FTF and lists those without AF.
So all Cap One cards have no FTF and most have no AF. Most Penfed cards have neither
