I'm not sure what's been up with GE lol. After two statements for my Walmart CC, they auto cli'd me. It went from $400 to $1050. The fourth statement has come, and I was denied the CLI. As far as my AE Visa goes, my fourth statement just hit today, and I was denied again. Mind you, I haven't used my AE Visa in a couple of months because I've been trying to pay down the balance, but I thought as long as a balance was reported then I'd be okay?
My DS is in the same shoes, She is gonna charge maybe $50 on both her AE & ON so that they can see that she has been using her most recent CLI proivided which was 4 months ago.
Im assuming they like to see when you use the card once they give you that CLI and dont count the balnce already carried since that was from previous CLI (make sense)

Has it reported 4mths yet? Or just the 4th statement? My 4th statement came about a month before it actually reported for 4mths. I waited and have gotten a CLI after every 4th reporting month.
Just the fourth statement. And I thought the statement meant it was reported? Lol.

You aren't the only one. I just requested CLI's on all my GE cards. On some of them I got them, some I didn't. I don't feel like calling credit solutions cause it's not a big deal. It was wierd though because I have two walmart cards and was declined on a CLI on my oldest account (requested 1st) and approved on the newer account, which was requested second. Both have a zero balance and haven't been used in months. I don't get it.

GE sometimes uses old CR's. also, if you haven't used the card since the last bump IME, they will decline. Something about wanting to see how you can handle the new CL. Obviously, this is a YMMV but I found that if I use the card once during the new bump, I get the CLI.
I also call Credit Solutions to make sure they are using a new report.
+1
And Lexie is already a "chartered" member with GECRB Credit Solutions... as her iPhone has them programed on speeddial ...
OP - Keep in mind though that not everyone will be elegible for a CLI after a 4th statement. It really depends on a variety of factors as it is just a recommended strategy based on GECRB's known data points and the consensus from other folks reporting their experiences. Just give it some time, it's really not a pre-requisite to get a CLI every 4th statement...you'll get there.
I recieved an auto CLI after 3 months (From $600. - $700.). I waited a few months then called, denied. Waited a few more months, denied and I believe I was denied one more time. In the mean time my other cards keep going higher (well, expect for JCP). My one year anniverary with Walmart will be in a few days. Let's see if they give me a gift. If not, I'll be calling to have them throughly look at my account and tell me why. I've used the card maybe 8 out of 11 months. Paid more than the minimum and pay it off sometimes. Currently at $0.00. Their lack of experience with the current credit line isn't working for me now. That's what they told me the other few times.
If I don't get a CLI this time, I'm going to say...
"ok".
Then crawl back into my corner and be happy to view my TU score for free Seriously though, I'm really going to plead my case this time.
