so i checked the experian app and went through my accounts to find i'm actually under 5/24 o_o. should i double check with another app such as credit karma or should checking 5/24 status via the experian app good enough? thx!
Checking CK wouldn't hurt as you can see what you have on the other two bureaus.

Since 5/24 is specifically a Chase thing, you should check your TransUnion as well. Since Chase pulls both Experian and TransUnion for applications.
Using Credit Karma for that purpose should be fine, since you're not looking at the score, just number of cards under 24 months.

tyvm everyone!
It depends in if you know what Chase will pull. Fur me, it only pulls EX, but depending on where you live it may not be the same for you. This is also assuming the EX app was refresh recently with updated credit data.

thanks! shouldn't all my credit cards all be reported the same on all reports though or are there sometimes discrepancies between different bureaus? thanks!

you need to confirm you understand what 5/24 is:
5/24 is for all opened revolving accounts reporting to your personal credit in the last 24 months and has nothing to do with inquires.
CK might not show you closed accounts if you're not looking for them, using your actual credit report from Experian or using a tool like the app Travel Freely will help you double check to make sure you're truly under 5/24 for Chase.
list all of the revolving accounts on your credit report with an open date in the last 24 months to be sure.

Yes. I really wouldn't sweat it if in fact you have opened less than 5 personal revolving accounts in the past 24 months.
