Looks like they are saving you the trouble for some 5/3 cardholders from having to apply for this card.

Got notified that the regular 5/3 platinum card is turning into a rewards card soon. Good News!

very interesting! I have the line up of 5/3 cards including platinum but havent received anything about the card conversion, will be sure to keep my eyes out!

The timing of 5/3 to make this new upgrade was sparkling because for my next spree it was on the list.

I received the same info snail mail this week and an email today. Looks like this will be world card as well.

I got the email first and then yesterday the mailer saying it's on the way.

Good thing too, because the card that they're replacing expires in just a few weeks.

If only this bank could just "verify" me!!! LOL...This and Blisspay card can never verify me, despite the HP's, and answering of public questions correctly online and over the phone....grrrrrr, LOL

For anyone interested in this card for the price protection feature, be aware there are some major limitations to that in the fine print.

I'm not sure if there are major limitations for other perks like phone protection.

Personal spend: Amex Gold, Amex Schwab Plat., BofA PR+CCR(x2), Costco
Business use: Amex Bus. Plat., BBP, Lowes Amex AU, CFU AU
Perks: Delta Plat., United Explorer, IHG49, Hyatt, "Old SPG"
Mostly SD: Freedom Flex, Freedom, Arrival
Upgrade/Downgrade games: ED, BCE
SUB chasing: AA Platinum Select

The upgrade process is happing in phases. We are currently in phase 1. Clients who use the card the least will be issued the new trio card first

Well well, may have to see about a PC from the cash rewards I have now to this, its reward structure is much better,
