In you all's opinion, is a $5000 CL the demarcation point between a "toy limit" and a "respectable" limit? I'm not talking about for the MyFico community, because I know we never stop there, But just curious as both Capital One and BoA websites say that $5000 CL makes you a made man.lol
Not sure I follow this. So if CapOne tells me I have to pop a cap in someone, I have to?
Funny stuff!
I thought it would be a while before I get to a $5K limit. Now that I've achieved that I'd like to hit $10K then call it quits lol.

Then you will want 20K, 50K, then 500K with all your cards and ...
But NFCU has some GREAT legs ![]()
@TRC_WA wrote:$5k limits are becoming the norm for me... and my biggest card is $10k which I think is pretty respectable considering the fact I'm not humping NFCU's leg.
There was a time though when I thought a $1k limit was out of this world awesome...

5K unsecured means you are prime.
Cool, I'm 1/7th prime. Hopefully, in 8 days, I'll be 2/7th prime.
For me, any joy of seeing a high CL is offest by the fact that I will have to pay it back if used.

My daughter, 18 years old, just got a 3x CLI on her Amex BCE. She didn't ask for the full amount, just $10k. Me? I'm still sitting on $1k with them but $20k on each of my NFCU cards. Consider me a happy humper! ![]()
