How would that travel card fit in with the rest of the plan...?

Your plan is fine.
Although BofA saving rate is truly pathetic. Even placing 100k into a CD somewhere (like DSF, Cap 1) will get you close to 3k interest in a year. Which more than compensate the CB you lose from reduced BofA bonus (and you can get other card with better CB rate w/o needing a large banking relationship).
If you are hesitant on CD's read about CD laddering, if you do not know what it means.
Money would still be for the most part fully liquid, and reap benefits of CDs at same time.
So I did a little more number crunching and decided that it would make more sense to move my investment account from TD Ameritrade over to Merrill Edge instead of the cash. I also plan on opening up a high yield savings at NASB.com for 2.53% which is guaranteed for 6 months. The brokerage investments would transfer in-kind and would not have any tax implications either. With that said, does that change anyone’s previous comments or further validate my original plan???

if any of your originally planed reward falls below 3% because of reduced BofA relationship bonus, you probably should look around for a different card.
