I am a AA Frequent Flyer member but do not have their card. Due to their increase of price over the last few years and my frequent destinations change I am not flying as I used to on AA. I have around 120k miles left with them. is this card worth getting in my situation or am I better off applying to the Barclay arrival world MC?
Any thoughts are welcome.
Thanks

You might want to look at Executive AAdvantage. 100k miles after $10k spend. I have both cards and after American devalued the award tickets both cards are in sock drawer. I also have Arrival and points post fast but it limits you to travel purchases for best redemption.
Is the offer still there? I thought it was over at the end of March....Anyways, I think Barclays USAir 40k miles after first purchase sounds much better now that USAir miles can be converted into AA miles...Although i was denied for the AA Executive, I have no clue how i could've spend $10k in 3months even if i was approved.
B335, did you meet your min. spend for the 100k bonus?
I would definitely do the 50k (WFY) or 100k ($450 AF) or both.
Both offers are publicly available for those of you not in the garden ![]()

The landing is still active, some folks on flyertalk are now on their 3rd Executive AAdvantage card:
Citi Executive Advantage Landing
I only went for the 75k ($7.5 spend) deal. $10k was pushing it for 90 days worth of spend even with my insurance, car registration, rent and anything else I could think of. Yes I met the spend and miles posted within a few days of the statement cut, account is back up around 200k miles ![]()
Well my car insurance I pre-paid 1 year and got a nice discount, but haven't found a very low cost way to actually make the car payment itself. Registration was a few hundred dollars too. I rent and we have a rent payment online option. It's $10 service fee but they said I can pre pay it (for only 1 service fee!).
