AMERICAN EXPRESS 2 SP?

Checked my Ex report this morning and I noticed there is a different type of SP today. simply, it is under the name "AMERICAN EXPRESS 2." 

this is quite different from a previous SP under "AMERICAN EXPRESS CO" 

anybody have any history with American Express 2?  Or know why they are SP-ing me?

It's kinda routine. You'll see Amex Account Review, and Amex 2.

*edit: and you'll see Amex CO... 3 total.

That's standard for them - I have the same SP on my CR.  I'm guessing different departments, perhaps.  Definitely nothing to be concerned about though.

Yep have one of these as well from last week.  Opened the account about a month ago so I was expecting to sometime soon.

But I ask, what warrants these SPs? there has not been any activity on my accounts at all. I would imagine these checks are automated?

Most of these companies like to monitor your CR to check for new TLs, etc.  Citi hammers me with SPs more than Amex.

Tied into Experian's data updating. Amex subscribes to it...like if you go on an app spree..spending/utilization changes..CA pops up..etc..etc.

Some are like clockwork typically. But in my case, they hit hard in the beginning of the first card, and they've lost interest in me by the third.

Watching you until they get to know your habits.
