Hi tray...
AmEx reports regularly...but their numbers are almost a month behind.
My new statement is just now cutting, and a few days ago my last month's balance was reported. Now that I've paid down to zero, I will have to wait another month until they report again.
AmEx will be reporting one cycle behind most of your other credit cards.

From my experience with Amex, if you charge anything on the card during the cycle --- even if it's paid off in full before the billing cycle ends, they will report what you charged to the CB's.
My experience has been that they have reported only my statement balance about 4 weeks after the schedule cuts. They run a month behind my other cards.
I have often charged almost to my limit and paid 3 to 4 times per month. I've never had them report any more than what is due when the statement cuts.
My experience they report what ever the balance is the day the statement cuts. I recently received a CLI from AMEX, and when my statement cut, the new update with the CRA's didn't reflect my new CL. I received the CLI prior to the date my statement cut which is on the 10/11th each month. So I guess Lynette M is correct...the report a month behind. I can't tell for sure since my balance is always reporting zero.

Hi DI,
This is the first time a balance ever reported on our AmEx, and I know the balance reported a few days before our new statement cut...so, actually, the balance reporting is close to a month behind. I got an alert from ScoreWatch that there had been a balance increase, so that's how I know when it reported. (And, of course, to make things peachy...the balance reported twice on both of our EQ reports and on my husband's TU, but not on mine. That just added to the frustration of having a balance report. And, at least on my husband's TU, the balance counted towards utilization twice. The joys of credit monitoring...)
