AMEX 3x CLI questions

A couple of quick questions.  I know the topics have been mentioned here before and I was tyring to sift through some old threads to find the answers but sometimes it easier to ask again, and hey maybe it will help others.

Traditionally I have never played the "CLI" game too much.  I have never wanted to poke the lenders too much and risk the chance of financial review or worse CLDs.  WIth that said just recently getting the 3x CLI on my AMEX Everyday, I started wondering if I should push the luv botton on my AMEX Delta but I had a couple of questions.

1) What is the upper limit before AMEX starts asking for income verification.  I don't think I would have any problems, my incom listed is total household income between my wife and I and we are W2 employees so verifying shouldn't be an issue. Of course FR where they may freeze cards is a another story and I want to avoid that.  I thought I saw some numbers around $24k or maybe it was in the 30's?

2) People talk about asking for the 3x CLI every 6 months, is that per card or total with the lender?  For example I just did my Everyday a couple of weeks ago, should I want 6 months before asking for any CLI on the AMEX delta?   My guess is this would be lender specific.

In the past I had been extremely conservative with CLIs, part of that was I wasn't aware that soft pulls did not count against me.  I would like to see if I can push some of my limits up a little bit and I know AMEX is generous so focusing on them for now.  This isn't to say that in 6 months they will give me anymore on either card but want to try in a sane way.

Re: AMEX 3x CLI questions

IIRC...

1. 35K without hitting income verification trigger. You can also try BBS method too. Amex CLI to $50k w/o IV

2. Per account holder.

Thanks for the feedback, reading the thread you posted it mentioned something about Income Verification language so that is something to look out for.  I don't really see myself pushing it too far, 15k is plenty for me in almost any circumstance.  Though I figure in 6 months or so I will try to double the Delta AMEX and see what happens.  Main goal is util padding (when I start flying again, there may be times where the Delta will post with 2K or more so having a bigger liit would be nice).  Also I know the Blue Nile will eventually get closed for non-use, so trying to get that 9K in other places (though I did that with the Everyday going from 5K to 15K recently).

Obviously too much time on my hands to think about this stuff Smiley Happy
