So I was approved for the Amex PR Gold a couple weeks ago and really want to add the BCE. So today I decided to app for it, and of course got declined. It gave me some message about my current cardmemeber risk score didn't meet the requirements, or something like that. The good news it gave me my EX FICO based off the PR Gold application a couple weeks ago: 678. Oh well, all the baddies will fall over the next 6-9 months and maybe I try later in the year!
Anyone else experience this?
THought you were supposed to wait 6 months between application periods...?
for amex i think its either 30 or 60 days. anything before and they'll cancel the application.
It's 30 days to reapply or they will cancel it, but most people recommend that you wait 60 days.
I think its recommended that you wait 6 months before you apply for an entirely different card after you were just approved for one.

Yup, same happened to me after i landed the Zync, thought I would likely get the BCE.......WRONG ! Oh well, I will see what happens this spring/summer..
Sorry to hear it. I didn't apply for any Amex credit card after I got approved for PR Gold three years ago. Getting approved for Amex is usually required for higher score. I think you should wait at least 6 month to apply for another one.

No, I checked. It was based off the HP they did a couple weeks ago. The letter even said: Based off Experian report from January 4, 2012.....
