Re: AMEX CASH BLUE

Tray,

Thank you this will be my first BIG card. I currently have a secured Orchard and Capital one, but both only have CL of $500.00. I come a long way trying to clear up my credit and I am super excited about being approved.

I'm curious where this comes from, as I haven't heard it on these boards, I don't think.

The reason I'm curious is that I got the Blue Cash 3 years ago with a starting limit of $2k, so there may be some truth to it, or it may just be a typical range that they approve.

From the many threads that I have read of this forum with new Amex cardholder members, but you never know with Amex and I know everyone has different credit profiles

Re: AMEX CASH BLUE

When I received my Amex Blue Cash... I had :

  • A clean profile
  • 3 Years of Credit History
  • 1 Year AAoA
  • Highest Credit Limit of $9,000

Amex matched my highest limit and gave my Blue $9,000 CL.

Re: AMEX CASH BLUE

2k use to be the lowest CL Amex offered if I'm not mistaken... I knew many people that were issued 2k on recon.  Now I have seen as low 1k

2,000 was my starting CL on my Costco TrueEarnings Card (even after 5 months with a PR Gold Card which I have run more than 2k through in a month and PIF)
