AMEX CC Reporting Question

My AMEX card reports about 30 days past current statement.  Is it possible to have them bring my account current to report on time like my other cards?

Re: AMEX CC Reporting Question

Probably not.  They have their own way of doing things
The slide from grace is really more like gliding
And I've found the trick is not to stop the sliding
But to find a graceful way of staying slid

No, unfortunately. This is how they report.

They actually report at the end of the month, but the report the balance on the statement that was generated during that month.  If you have a statement closing date towards the beginning of the month, this has the effect of making it look like they are reporting a month behind.

I don't think they will change the way they report for you, but you can request that they change your closing date closer to the end of the month.  That way it will only appear to be a month behind for a few days.
