AMEX Cash advance question...

So received my Amex ED card yesterday and was suprised to see my Cash Advance limit was 2k so 20% of my CL.. Is this typical with Amex?  I would NEVER do a cash advance with AMEX, but thought their Cash Advances limits were typically lower or is this normal?

Funny thing is my Cap1 Venture One allows me to do the full 100% of my CL, never seen this before..  Guess it was a PC and times were different back when I origianlly obtained that card about 10 years ago?

Well normal is relative. I've seen like that before.  But for my 10k amex. Cash limit 700 dollars. But for cap one and diners.  Being quicksilver. Whole limits available. You are right. If you want AA from amex in less than 24 hours. Get a cash  advance
