I intend to test that rule in early November. My 2/90 period ends on 11/15, a week after the current high bonus offer expires. I'm gonna app before 11/8, though, and see what happens.

The rule is real. I tried over the summer after getting my two revolvers to get a third and the application was cancelled. I called and the rep cited the 2/90 rule for revolver cards.

I want to get this one for myself but the business version next year.
I'm thinking I may app for an amex delta card. It will require me to close my amex spg business card but the more I reflect on that card the more I realize its not worth the AF, since I am not going to get another 20k points on it with spend and I rarely stay at sheratons and when I stay at marriotts it makes more sense to pay with the CSR.

It's specific to revelovers. There doesn't seem to be any rules for charge cards.

@shoegal would you mind inboxing me a referral link? I went ahead and apped and they denied me so I am all in my feelings at the moment 
. That was a surprise since they sent me the mailer. I asked for recon so it is back "in progress" but I'm not holding my breath for them to change. For some reason they just won't go ahead and pull a fresh credit report and they are basing their decision on a credit pull from more than a month ago. Anyway, I'd like to have another shot at applying later and getting the good bonus.
