AMEX Delta Skymiles Card

Does anyone have any insights on the AMEX Delta Skymiles card? In other words, minimum income & Fico score? What does American Express look at on your credit report to help determine an approval? And lastly, does anyone know on how the credit limit is determined?

Re: AMEX Delta Skymiles Card

Unfortunately, no one knows the secret sauce as to how AENB determines specific criteria for approval. However, there is a plethora of DPs in the Credit Card Approvals section of the forums if you were to perform a search for a particular Delta SkyMiles card.

Also, you didn't indicate which Delta SkyMiles you were interested. There are 4 versions. Typically, from reported experiences, the Delta Gold version tends to be the 'easiest', but that would still depend upon your overall profile.

Re: AMEX Delta Skymiles Card

I was approved in April for the Delta Gold with a 680 score. Thought for sure it would be a bucketed 1,000 foot in the door card but they opened the CL @ 4,000. A few months later I was able to get the Gold and Platinum cards while in the 690s. I had a couple of COs that are paid but still on my file and utilization was under 10%. You can check Amex's prequalify site to see if you have any offers. I did not but still got the Delta Gold when I applied anyway.
