That's correct ~ the date opened on your reports is the month you opened the account combined with the year of your MSD.


So if I wait until January 2015, it will actually report the oldest possible. 01/07 since my MSD is 2007. Therefor jumping over my BCP which is reporting as 05/07 and then be my oldest TL. 

 


That is correct. Always apply in Jan to get the maximum benefit from BD.

So my .02 here it depends on your report but mine has 30 accounts in my AAoA calculation. If it was me I wouldn't be concerned about the month difference because when averaged out each month is only worth one day lol. So take the card if you want it.

I agree ~ I'd apply when you get achieve the max benefit, which in this case would hopefully be MR points, over an incremental account age increase which likely won't alter your AAoA.
