It was posted in another thread that if you use Plan It during the 0% interest period, there are no fees. I suppose you could use it during the 0% period if you preferred to pick a couple of purchases and have them computed into your bill.

That's good to know, gives me a couple options.

I had planned to make more than the min payments, basically the balance divided by the promo period. I also thought about paying double for the first few months just to help reduce utilization quicker.

Accoriding to Amex, my Fico score is 794. I have no baddies other than 3 paid collections under $40 each from several years ago. < don't know what overal impact those are having. All cards are at zero except Citi, that is only 3% util. Auto loan 20% paid, and two instalment loans. One at 50% paid that will be paid off soon, and the other just taken out of $15K.

So was it mentioned that with "plan it", that balance does not report to CB or show up on your CR? I've read so many threads on this subject I've can't recall. If it doesn't report I may go with that feature on my ED card, to keep away from any utilization issues. But if it does report, I might as well just enjoy the 0% promo APR for the year. Also, I'm guessing "Plan it" needs to be activated with the first statement that charge is posted on. That it cannot be done say 3-6 months after the charge?

My thoughts were that with plan it I could avoid utilization issues. But if that isn't an option, I might as well just leave it as a charge and pay the $525 Amex quoted for the 12 month plan. At least this way if I can't pay the $500 one month, I can always pay the minimum just to keep current. And there's no interest/fees either way.
